Ramblings and musings of a UK based Photographer

That is a lovely afternoon ramble!
lots of ORANGE about!ROG, ABC Wednesday team
Wow, amazing colors
Were you laying in the leaves for that first shot? Worth what we have to do for the right angle - I understand:)
What stunning autumn colors! Such terrific shots. It's definitely not that colorful around here in NorCal!
Spectacular Fall foliage!O is for....Rose, ABC Wednesday Team
I simply can't leave brief comments on your blog. I've tried, honest - just not possible. So here goes... :-)That misty stream is a great October header! It almost looks like there is frost on the pumpkin (or at least on the stream banks!) Fantastic lighting, color and overall ambience. As much as I loved the photo of that bench in your Sunday Scavenger Hunt post, I love this perspective even more. That carpet of leaves just cries out to be shuffled and crunched through (horrible grammar, I know, but don't you think "Shuffle and Crunch" would be a great name for a law firm, or a pub? LOL)The next photo is one of my two favorites - the bright red on that bridge makes that shot absolutely perfect. Now here is a list of my wants, inspired by the next several photos:I want to be one of those two people, ambling down that Autumn path;I want to live in that ideal thatched cottage (that chimney is impressive, would love to see the fireplace(s) it vents!);I want that photo of the red and gold Acer leaves with their dangling raindrops, matted, framed and autographed (add it to my growing shopping cart, please and thank you!) :-) ;I want to visit the photo-op intensive, beguiling Batsford Arboretum in the WORST way, so please oh please someday when I come to visit, can we spend at least one day there with our cameras?! That would be a dream! And after that, we'll go enjoy an Oatmeal stout at The Shuffle & Crunch. My treat. :-)
Awesome fall captures!
Ah, Barbara, you're THE BEST !
Thanks all for your kind comments.Emille: No I wasn't lying down (although it has been known), I just held the camera down low and hoped for the best - it was a tad wet and muddy and I had my velvet coat on :O)Laloofah: 'Shuffle and Crunch'... don't I remember them from a Dickens novel? How wonderfully onomatopoeic those words are! That thatched cottage is called Dairy Cottage and is in the grounds of Batsford Arboretum. Every time we see it we have a moment of drooling - it is exquisite, and what a garden to have!Addition to shopping list duly noted... just remember when you come, please make it the autumn and I will gladly spend a few hours at Batsford with you and our cameras. I have no idea what an oatmeal stout is but it sounds revolting (like coffee made out of weeds), but will willingly let you treat me to a large shiraz :O)
Ordinary Words...Outstandingly gorgeous♫♪ Inspires me to go out and shuffle through some leaves just to hear the sound!
What a nice walk through the woods with all these colors. I wanted to shoot some fall pictures, no way our parks are still mostly green, the trees who had been possibly yellow are now naked ! Strange thing this year !
The Silver Bunny - Thank you! (Blush)...Gattina - My little trees in the garden seem to be heading that way too, just shedding not changing colour. Odd!
AMAZING photos love that Red bridge :)
These are absolutely beautiful...what a gorgeous place this is! Thank you for sharing.
WOWZERS this is one beautiful place. Clearly I need to take a trip.
