Texture Tuesday...

Still being influenced by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi: the art of imperfection.

Simplicity Photography Challenge... What makes you smile? And Texture Thursday

What makes me smile?

Autumn makes me smile - a lot.

As do my friends,

my cats (can also cause me to be immensely vexed)

David (ditto the above)

stars,

snow,

frosty mornings,

really good dark chocolate,

poetry,

Bach,

Vaughan Williams,

and

photography.

Gradient in autumnal hues - opacity 65% - Soft Light blend mode
Kim Klassen texture - 'Old Whisk' - Overlay blend mode

Three photo challenges for Thursday...

Decided to do something a little different this week so have linked up with three photo challenges, one over at The Daily Wyatt, one at Crown of Life Photography and the other at Live Every Moment.  This was taken in Stratford upon Avon cemetery.  I liked the old writing and the texture of the stone, and just tried to enhance it really.
