Cats on Tuesday…

I did a photo shoot on Saturday with lovely Honey Malone, made more entertaining by the photo-bombing antics of Ralph who was determined to get in on at least one photo.

He then decided modelling was too much like hard work so went to bed.

Pepper went camera-shy when asked to pose with David…

...but was fine when in the spotlight by herself.

Charlie sprawled around a lot...

… and Mrs P just refused to move for anybody or anything.

Cats on Tuesday (almost)...

On 12th June Pepper celebrated her 15th birthday.  She rolled around on the carpet quite a lot and posed for my camera.  She also tried to smack Charlie and then screamed at Ralph - so no different to any other day really… (she also went to the Vet for her jabs the next day but we don't talk about that).

Cats on Tuesday...

Apologies for not keeping the cats' fans supplied with information for a few weeks, the kitties have all hurled scorn and derision at me for this, as well as a few expletives from Charlie.

First of all, Ralph went to the Vet!  He was cruelly attacked by an interloper cat (we refer to him as Big Gus) who comes into the garden and throws his weight about.  He somehow managed to bite Ralph's paw and it was so sore and swollen he couldn't walk on it and was hobbling around on three legs.  He was taken to see Geraldine and Aga at the vets and pronounced a lovely boy, and so well-behaved.  Thankfully after a course of antibiotics and painkillers he was soon back to normal.

Here's Ralph showing off the swollen paw...

He soon got back into 'being a little bugger' mode...

... and keeping an eye out for Big Gus from the safety of the bench.

Charlie has been catching up (!) on his sleep.
Big Gus tried yelling at him in the garden, and of course
Charlie started yelling back and ran at him.
At this point I intervened
and brought the Charl-ster inside in case things were just about
to turn into a scene that Quentin Tarantino
would be proud of.

Pepper has been busy with her modelling work of course...

But she's seemed a little out of sorts, her back legs
sometimes seem to hurt her and she's pulling her fur
out, so she's off to the Vet on Friday for a check-up.

And Mrs P?
She went for her six monthly check
at the Vet, and was pronounced to be doing really
well for her age.  She's about 19 but still
has the energy to get angry when
stuffed into a cat carrier for some
upstart to then prod and poke at her.
It took a whole tin of
tuna to mollify her.

Cats on Tuesday...

There has been a lot of bad behaviour in cat-land this week, mainly involving Ralph and Charlie.  They've been little sods!  Pepper has been an angel as always (her words), and Mrs P has just done her own thing and screamed at anyone who tries to get her to deviate from this.  So on with the pics.

Pepper...
Thinking angelic thoughts...

Charlie...
Thinking devilish thoughts...

Ralph...
Just not thinking...

Mrs P...
Thinking of smacking them all
around the head so that she
can get some peace and quiet.

Cats on Tuesday...

Good Morning Campers! No we have not deserted blogland, merely been extremely busy with photo stuff (including a project so secret that Charlie would have to bring the claw of doom to bear on you if you heard so much as a whisper about it).  Anyway... we're all still here and the cats are chomping at their collective bits (not that they have bits, but you get the picture), to bring you their latest pics.  So without further ado...

The weather was actually warm enough for
Mrs P to venture out into the garden...
This was just before Ralph learnt the hard way
that it is not a good idea to try and play with her
tail through the bench.

Charlie went to the vets for his blood test
and was pronounced as still in remission from diabetes - yay!
He celebrated by performing a burlesque routine with a
feather boa and a catnip carrot that is still
the talk of the neighbourhood.

Ralph met with the Tiny Buddha on Pepper's advice.
Her words were rather brutal being along the lines of
'Ralph, you're an idiot,
go and ask the Buddha for help now'.
We like to think she meant it kindly.

Here he is thinking about it all.

Pepper has been meditating in the garden
on developing compassion and tolerance toward Ralph.
It's a work in progress...

Of course she has to take time out from
her meditation practice to go be a supermodel.
A cat's work is never done.

Cats on Tuesday... (yes it's late again)

I'm sorry ok?!? There was this thing involving snakes - and no the cats aren't impressed with that excuse either...

... as you can tell by Pepper's reaction.

Charlie was totally depressed about my
inability to keep them in the spotlight...

... and he was livid to find a large
canvas of a d*g in the living room.
(A client had ordered it so I've
put it away safely until I get
to deliver it).

... but perked up when he
discovered a cat's paw under the curtain
that needed to be attacked.

I found an old soft focus filter in my camera bag from
when I used to shoot film, and used it on Mrs P.
She was slightly mollified but not enough to
want to know me.

Ralph was just Ralph...
He tried to look vaguely menacing
for a moment...

...before becoming distracted
and running into the garden to
to try and catch a pigeon.

Cats on Tuesday...

In which the cats did sod all really!

 Pepper watched the rain...

Charlie watched the rain...
(and me getting wet!!!)

Mrs P thought about watching the rain...

... and Ralph didn't care
as he'd found another Christmas
decoration to kill.

Charlie and I tried out
my new infa-red remote for my camera :-)

Finally, Charlie enjoyed himself thinking
up threats for anyone who might try to
use his images illegally...
