U is for Umbrella...

This chap thoughtfully opened his brightly coloured umbrella just
as I wanted to take a photo of this snowy path, so I colour popped the photo
to make the brolly stand out even more.

This used to be my favourite umbrella until I left it somewhere when I was out
and never found it again...

This is my new favourite umbrella, it's pink, it has a black tassel on the handle and it's shaped like an Edwardian parasol.  I have to thank Cath for modelling it and for bringing her not very warm pink jacket to put on even though it was freezing!

I would have been sad if I had lost that stunning umbrella too. Love the color popped first picture. Well done.

A necessity beautifully rendered (that lost one looked especially exciting).

I hate getting attached to umbrellas. Either I leave on on the bus, or a gale wind turns it unusable.

LOVE how you've mixed black and white in with the colour to emphasize the umbrellas!

That middle umbrella looks to be quite a lethal weapon!

What a fun post! Love how you popped the colour in the first photo and sorry you lost your fave brolly. Your friend certainly was brave to pose in the chilliness! :D

A great black and white photo with that brilliant pop of umbrella color! I love umbrellas but never have one with me when needed. Hm. :) Nice post!

I wish you'd drop by and tell me how to create the effect of that first pic.

A bunch of great photos and your friend (?) did an awesome job modelling the umbrella.

I can see why you never got your favourite umbrella back: it's huge and it's beautiful.

I have found so many umbrellas on my coach and some are truly fantastic.

Gorgeous shots of umbrellas. So many folks chose this for ABC. I'm scared of them and all of you are making them seem innocuous. Eek!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I assume you are having fun with your lovely pink umbrella under rainy weather.
Have a wonderful day.

My umbrellas never seem to last long once the wind gets up.

Thanks for the tip, Barbara. I'm using FXFoto and I find that drawing around an object is a wriggly business. It just never looks neat!

It does take a bit of practice and perseverance, it depends on the shape of the object too as to how well it turns out. Good luck with it!

Lovely photos and excellent choice of U-word. I had Umbrella last time we had U, so I had trouble picking a new U-word.
Best wishes,
