Scavenger Hunt Sunday... Update!

It's been so hot this week... fine if you can lounge around in the shade all day but not good working in an office with no air conditioning and a window that only opens if the wind is in the right direction (oh the joys of working in a 19thC listed building...).  I did manage to scrape together some pics before succumbing to heat-induced ennui.

Footprints...
Beneath Your Feet...
Taken in Stratford on Friday when
I was out for my birthday lunch.
Note snazzy new M&S flip-flops,
and also note mutant bird tracks in the concrete!

Texture...
Blossom beside the lake and fountain
at Bletchley Park in Northamptonshire...
(Loving that painterly effect)

Melted Currently...
It's hot, damn hot,
(so hot in fact that this poor chap melted) ...

... as a result of this
I am CURRENTLY using a lot of
sun block and spending an inordinate amount
of time underneath my parasol.
(Someone asked if they could take
its picture yesterday - that's how famous
it's become!)

The other two photos for this week's Scavenger Hunt will be posted later (after I've taken them!!!).  Am off to the Cotswolds with Helen and Cath so hope to make them participate in 'Capturing Movement' and 'Face Your Fears'.  Watch this space!

Update!  Had a fabulous day, a wander around the beautiful Batsford Arboretum followed by a picnic lounging in the shade of the trees.  And I got to finish the Scavenger Hunt!

Capturing Movement #1
Cath and Helen go slightly loopy...

Capturing Movement #2
Waterfall in the grotto at Batsford...

Face Your Fears
Cath about to meet the terrifying
Zombie of Batsford...

And finally seeing it face to face!

Thanks to Cath and Helen for a wonderfully hilarious day :O)

Funny, while we were out walking the dogs in the mizzle between rain showers and deluges yesterday, we commented on how unlike Wyoming weather it was, and how English it was instead! So apparently you got our weather, and we got yours! (We'd like ours back, please, before our fingers turn to prunes!) :-)

Your blingy new flip-flops are just my style! (Bet someone had fun putting those "bird tracks" in the fresh concrete!)

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the "Texture" photo! I want it framed and hanging on my wall! That is gorgeous!

LOL at Melted Man. He definitely wasn't dressed appropriately for the temps, and could have benefited from borrowing your lovely parasol - which is another fab photo! Love seeing the shadows of the leaves.

Well, as we advise each other in these parts when it's that hot and sunny: drink lots of water, and if you catch fire, remember to stop, drop and roll! ;-)

Sorry I haven't commented lately - having some health issues. Your Texture shot looks like a painting and I love the poor melted man. I always look forward to your sense of humor; you make me laugh. I well remember working in offices without air conditioning back when I first started working. It was awful, especially in my first job when I was typing ditto masters. Remember the purple that spread absolutely everywhere? Yuck!

LOL! Love the updates! You had great weather for your outing (I'd have been standing underneath that beautiful grotto waterfall!) and, as always, great models for your photo shoot! What great sports and fun friends Helen and Cath are. :-)
