Spent yesterday walking around the Donington race track with David so he could take photos of classic cars. It rained, it hailed, it was very cold, and when I asked a young chap in the cafe for a filter coffee he said 'what's a filter coffee?'. I think he should seriously reconsider his career choice. I did manage to get some photos, weather and strange customer service notwithstanding.
Me with the 'lost - not lost' mittens on
David does his paparazzi thing...
My new car :O)
I was determined to have a go
at one of those tree shots where you
pan the camera up and down whilst shooting.
Didn't have my tripod so it's a bit wobbly,
but still quite like the effect!

Oh no! Hail and classic cars are not a good mix! I hope they all (especially "your" Ferrari) were unscathed.
The Dodge is quite a contrast to the Ferraris. Is it meant to symbolize dodging hail and paparazzi and dealing with dodgy cafe baristas? ;-)
You did a great job with the final photo! It looks very otherworldly!
Love your photos, but funny seeing your coat and mittens when it is already so hot in Texas. You did a lovely job on the "panning" shot.
Awful weather to be at a car show but at least it provided you with some unique photos of classic cars. Sure wish I had a Ferrari. :D I'm very struck by the shot of the woods, fascinating.
A wonderful series Barbara!
I especially love the last one.
Happy Sunday to you!
Ooooh! I love that effect with the trees! And, the raindrops on the black Ferrari photo is fabulous!
