Cats on Tuesday...

The cats were pretty disgusted that The Shakespeare Hospice had chosen one of my pics of Stratford, and not one of them to appear on their Christmas card this year.  They decided to teach me a lesson.  Every time I tried to take a photo yesterday, a cat jumped into the picture.

Or in some cases, three cats...

I tried to take a picture of some snow globes for The Daily Shoot...
Once again I was foiled by a cat.

Even when I thought I'd managed to take one, somehow they were in it.
It was beginning to feel like a feline remake of The Birds...

I did manage a close-up of some Easter chicks...

But not for long...

At last I saw my chance...
Pepper had danced off somewhere and Posky and Charlie were
having a spaghetti western staring competition over by the shed.
I scooted off to the other side of the garden.

Me: 'Charlie! How the heck can you be in two places at once?!?'
Charlie: Quantum physics... I haz it...

Me: 'Hmmm, which is how you also manage to be over by the gate as well...'
Charlie: 'You got it'.

In the end I admitted defeat, apologised for the insult inflicted upon them, promised they could be on as many Christmas cards as they wanted, then bribed them with a tin of tuna so I could at least take one picture.

Ben: 'Well thank goodness for that. You didn't tell them about the Easter card did you?'
Me: 'Shut up and get posing. It was only a small tin of tuna...'.

I suggest for penance you make them a postcard for every month of the year. Gasp! Oh, me and my BIG mouth! b*o*d

MOL, cats are masters of the annoying. When you want to take a pic, all you see is tail!

That Charlie is one fiendishly clever cat! I'd watch him carefully (even more carefully!), if I were you. I've a feeling he may have plans to take over the world...

OMG! What if the kits DO find out about the Easter card! Mayhem will ensue! I'm ducking already and I'm how many hundreds of miles away? ARGH!

BTW, got my subscription and have signed up to the forum... If we lived closer, you could be my study buddy... (A very unequal relationship that would be!)

Thanks all :O) Penny - Charlie is always plotting some fiendish plan... I saw him trying on a pair of Easter Bunny ears so I think he may have found out about the card, either that or he's murdered the Easter Bunny! Hurrah for managing to get signed up etc, we can be virtual study buddies! Btw, Alan in my T189 Flickr Group posted a link ref a photography course - looks interesting. The link to the post is

I can think of no reason that any cat would have the name Posky. How did you come up with that name?

Charlie and Pepper look cute, especially Pepper. I want to hug her.

Mattposky - There is a very good reason (well good at least in my warped mind) for Posky to be called Posky. He had the embarrassing name 'Blue' when we got him from the RSPCA so desperately needed another one asap. I had a diary that year with paintings by Leslie Ann Ivory in it, and one of the pictures was of a cat called Posky. His character just suited the name (he was a bit pesky, so pesky Posky sort of stuck) - he used to be a bit of a nutter but has calmed down somewhat with age. Charlie is a strange and unusual cat. Pepper appreciates any and all compliments :O))
