Cats on Tuesday...

This week in the world of cat...

Because she hadn't seen her friend the Buddha
for a few days, Pepper was worried SOMEONE
(we're looking at you Charlie),
might have harmed him in some way.
Here she is bravely searching for him in the snow
(and wearing her new gold collar with panache
it has to be said).

Snow Buddha
Thankfully, she actually discovered that
he'd been there all the time, only
she hadn't recognised him as he
appeared to have acquired a new hat.

Charlie did a soulful pose in
return for some tuna...

... gazed at his reflection in the window,

... agreed to model the new
kitchen flooring for us
(in return for more tuna)...

... then collapsed exhausted on the bed.

Mrs Pod supervised David
removing the old carpet...
(she had to be bribed with those
biscuits to keep out of the way on
the sofa)...

... then supervised the men
who came to fit the new one.
This time she had to be forcefully
removed from lying on it when
they were trying to fit it.
She's a stubborn cat...

Her work done,
she joined Charlie on the bed,
had a wash, then slept
for the rest of the day.

My cats too had some difficulties to recognize the little cat statues, they suddenly all wore a hat. It suits the buddha very well !
Mrs. Pod apparently does the same job as Arthur, the supervisor of all works going on inside or outside the house. Besides supervising he is always in the way !

Here is almost all the snow gone , it´s raining today.
Your Buddha is looking furry good in his new hat :)
Of course you have to be bribed when your mom person want´s you to posé on your new floor even it is pawsome looking ;-)
Snoopervise craftsmen is a furry impawtent task , you never know what they are up to :)

Cats have to keep an eye on what's going on. It's their job to supervise their servants!

Mrs P has a low opinion of anyone doing any kind of job in the house or garden... you can almost here her contempt :O)

Kathy: Charlie was born to pose...

Deb: They're usually sloths so no idea what got into them this week!

Karen: Thank you :O)

Pepper not only looks chic in her gold collar (she really does!), she also looks strikingly gorgeous contrasted against the snow. And I can see how she had trouble recognizing The Buddha - a hat can really alter one's looks! :-)

Those are the most soulful photos of Charlie I've ever seen. Especially the one of him gazing at his reflection. Absolutely beautiful. (The tuna of the world wish he'd model for a different sort of compensation, however!) And I agree with jabblog about Mrs. P doing her job and doing it well. She may have been relegated to the sofa, but she's still gonna by-god keep a critical eye on the hired help. Looks like the carpenter interrupted her perusal of this week's catnip specials in the newspaper! :-)

Are your remodeling projects nearly finished now? When do we get to see some before and after photos? ;-)

Laloofah: I did try bribing Charlie with hummus, a carrot and some green beans. He was not impressed :O)

Alas we are still surrounded by chaos (so what's new?!?), painting is next followed by book shelves... then MAYBE I can get my study back.

Well if Charlie won't take that yummy bribe, then can I have it? :-)

Remodeling feels endless, doesn't it? But how nice it will be when it's finished! (I know, I wanted to punch people in the face when they'd try to comfort me with that statement during our building process - and I am not typically a violent woman!)

I think I could easily become that violent woman... :O)

You take such beautiful pictures.

My Rivkah is stubborn about where she chooses to lay down, impossible to make her move and stay off.
