Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I had to break up a giant bar of Galaxy chocolate to take this,
David put all thought of himself aside and volunteered
to eat it all afterwards.

Numbers...
on a Snakes and Ladders board.

Canned Food...
You can never have too many tins of pulses
in your cupboard if you're a veggie.
(This didn't inspire me as much as the chocolate...
and David didn't volunteer to eat these) :O)

Mono Guitar #2
Music...
My guitar and a brick wall - 'nuff said.

Old Books...
Stack...
It is a truth universally acknowledged
that a book-worm cannot pass a second-hand
bookshop without diving into it 'just for a look'.

All of them wonderful, but my favourite is the books and glasses one. Of course! Next to cats, it HAS to be books...

I'm with Penny - the stack of old, much read books with the reading glasses on top is my absolute favorite. I love the sepia tones of it, making the photo look almost as old as the books! My second favorite is your guitar against the brick wall. What a fantastic B&W photo!

As for me ~ and you'll think, no doubt for the first time I'm sure, that I'm weird ~ but the cans of garbanzos is actually more tempting to me than the chocolate! I can eat an entire can of garbanzos at a sitting. Just hoover 'em up right out of the can, with no shame whatsoever.

Of course, a little chocolate for dessert afterwards would be nice! ;-)

Yes, being vegetarian, I stock up these cans of chickpeas and baked beans.
Err, those reading glasses look like mine too.
Love you last photo.

Thanks :O) Penny - I do have a shot of Posky with his head on a pile of books somewhere, best of both worlds. Ashley - thanks, I was a bit shocked I had this many tins! Laloofah, I love chick peas (or should that be 'around here we just call them peas'?) and like you could eat an entire tin no problem. I demolish dark chocolate at the same rate... one reason there wasn't any in the house to take a photo of. I have no comment to make on your weirdness ;O) The Chair Speaks - I promise the glasses are mine :O) Actually I don't wear reading glasses, I'm very short-sighted so reading is just about the one thing I don't need my glasses for - these are my favourite glasses, I had to go put on my second favourite glasses so I could use my favourites as a prop. And why couldn't I use the second favourite glasses as a prop instead? Because they have red metallic frames and I thought they wouldn't fit in with the mood I was after in this shot. Perfectionist, moi? :O)

Great pictures!

I can definitely relate to the comment about second-hand bookstores. They are impossible to pass without a look.

The chocolate looks so good!
