Happy Bloody Christmas...

Just to show how the festivities go on and on in our household...

Ho bloody ho...

How did I take it?

Two lights to front, one on each side.
Camera on tripod in middle, set to shoot with ten second delay.
Me running backwards and forwards to grab newspaper and get in position.

My hair suffered considerably under that hat.

Only just, Pepper zipped through the frame in some of the out-takes, and we had to stop to clear a space for her to get on the pouff and supervise us :o)

Hilarious photo! Did you find interesting articles in The Guardian???

Haha...I soooo identify with the running back and forth. My only consolation is that I figure I burn enough calories in the process to indulge in an extra glass of wine in the evening :). Love the "ho bloody ho" haT :)

Oh, this is SO TYPICAL! The woman does all the work while the man just sits on his arse.

(Btw, did you enjoy seeing the Ho Bloody Ho hat featured prominently in our holiday newsletter?) :-)

You are indeed a festive couple. BW and I are taking notes on how to properly par-tay. LOL

Yoshi: I still haven't had time to read it! Managed to look at the Review of the Year in the arts mag and that was whilst I was cooking dinner!

Kathy/Deb: I was absolutely knackered! Did have to have a glass of wine in the evening but there was only white left, not red, which completely spoilt the whole thing. My hat is lovely - it's all white and fluffy and you find a cat sleeping on/in it if you leave it lying around. David's does suit him though - I send similar hats out to deserving friends on occasion ;O))))

Laurie: Isn't it though? I even made the drinks to go in the mugs - thought it would add to the realism! Those with keen eyes and a good memory for classic album covers will recognise David's mug from The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. I keep meaning to say how I did manage to finally read your newsletter and how much I enjoyed it. A zip through in seconds of what were many arduous months for you and BW, but so worth all the work for that lovely house you now have. And of course, how could I miss BW and hat, that 100% Christmas Grump face is priceless. Do hope he wore it to work :O)

We're just a pair of party animals aren't we?! You should have heard us yelling at each other when we were trying to set up the lights and move the sofa out of the way to get enough room. Plus David was trying to tell me where I should put the camera and tripod... where I wanted to stick the tripod at that point was an entirely different matter... Bloody men.

LOL!! Okay, the next time you undertake one of these epic family photo shoots, you simply must engage an additional person to be a videographer so we can enjoy the total electrifying experience. :-) How I would have loved to have seen it all go down!

You actually made beverages to put in the mugs? You are a hoot! I love your style. :-)

Thank you so much for your lovely compliments on our house! I'm really pleased that you like the results of our efforts and sacrifices. It was a long year indeed. I had to do a lot of editing to fit it all into that newsletter. :-) I throughly enjoyed including that photo of BW in the Grumpy hat, and yes - he wore it to work on Christmas Eve, where he said it got a big laugh from his Colleagues in Brown. (He was not permitted to wear it out and about amongst his customers, though - but I will see to it that he does so on his final Christmas as a UPS man! Though he'll probably be far less grumpy when that long awaited day finally, FINALLY rolls around!)

Funny, I did notice and admire David's mug, but did not recognize it as Pink Floyd's album cover. I love that you shot this photo in B&W, but am so curious about the colors in the drapes behind you, and I love the sweet little table and chairs you're sitting at! Your fluffy white Santa hat is really cute (I'd been wondering if it was white, since I couldn't picture you in pink - my second guess!)

Pink? Moi? Good grief no... And believe me I NEEDED the tea after all that... We almost had an argument in a church yard this morning when I was trying to to take a pic of David and he was complaining about the cold and then fitted my flash cable to the camera the wrong way around so it wouldn't work...!!!

I'm just going to hire that videographer myself. Really, the two of you and your camera kerfuffles could make for a hit reality TV show. LOL

Told ya I couldn't imagine you wearing pink! :-)

That's a GREAT photo!! Wouldn't it make a wonderful Christmas card?

Maybe for next year.

Don't worry Jay, I'm plotting already :o)

I could make do nicely with a ho bloody ho hat...

Very funny shot, Barbara!

I think it's terrible that England seems to be the only country making such gems as that hat - I should start an export business :O)
