The Weekend in Black and White - Feathers...

I have to credit Rosie with the idea for this.  Her beautiful abstract macros of feathers inspired me to collect a few of my own and have a go.

Taken with a macro filter - processed in LightRoom (converted to b&w, took the clarity right down and the brightness up, and added a white vignette).

These are elegant and beautiful! I kept thinking I had a favorite among them, but I don't. I love them all. (I just hope none of your cat-kids helped you procure the prop!) ;-)

The detail is amazing - how good it is to look closely at something so apparently unremarkable.

Thanks all. I've been looking out for abandoned feathers all this week, so Laloofah it's ok, the cats are innocent :O)
