Season of mists (and food festivals)...

Batsford
Autumn Glory...

I love autumn... the mists, the colours, the food... sigh.  Talking of food, Saturday saw Cath, Helen and myself at the Stratford upon Avon Food Festival.  We had such a great day; went to a cupcake decorating demonstration, saw mountains of olives, listened to a band, got a goodie bag from Waitrose which has a superb recipe booklet in it, and generally had a wonderful time in the September sunshine. I didn't actually take that many photos (I was distracted by the food), but here are a few.

That sounds like a perfect day out. I like your portraiture and the autumn colours in your first photo are beautiful.

Except maybe the famous Danish prince :-) (Though he ought to recognize a beautiful woman when he sees one!)

Your autumn colors photo is exquisite - great choice for your header!

Sure looks like you had a gorgeous day for your fun outing - I love Fall festivals. The trick that "victim from the audience" is doing with the sugar looks intriguing! And poor Helen, Hamlet is more interested in Yorick's skull than in her compassionate offers of comfort.

I share your love of this time of year (though the fact it's hunting season here taints it horribly for me), really enjoy your beautiful photos of it, and long for more leisurely days like the one you shared with Helen and Cath in which to enjoy it. But alas (as Hamlet would say) - while BW and I had the temerity to take the dogs on a long walk yesterday to enjoy the lovely day and all the beautiful changing colors around here, the landscapers put in-ground sprinklers in the wrong place, resulting in our having to move a tree and a large shrub from their strategically chosen and HOA-approved locations, despite his having multiple copies of our landscaping plans (with measurements!) Can't turn your back on any contractor around here for five minutes!! Grrrr...

So please keep on enjoying, photographing and sharing your beautiful Autumn days with us!

Love your fall festival photos and the three of you having such a good time enjoying it. Due to our drought last summer, our fall colors are muted but still beautiful. Do you cats like chasing the leaves as they fall?

I hate autumn as it is the beginning of winter, but for festivals I am always ready ! And it looks is if you had a lot of fun !

Sounds like a wonderful trip and that autumn photo reminds me of a painting my grandmother painted that hangs in my dining room. It is probably my favorite painting because of the light and the colors. Your colors are just as amazing.
