Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

Well I was going to do Kathy's Song-ography again this week but then realised I didn't have a clue what to do for 'Up on the Roof'. So the Scavenger Hunt it is then!

Camouflaged...
Yesterday we went to the Festival of History at Kelmarsh Hall.
It's an amazing display of 2000 years of English history.
Here we have one of our Celtic brethren from north of the border
camouflaged nicely in a wood.
He obviously didn't attack me because I'm 50% scots.

Nutty...
It's been far too hot here this week, it's driven
us all slightly nutty.
Here Charlie demonstrates this whilst
lying in the shade of one of my Japanese Maples.

Alike...
My absolute favourite shots from yesterday
involved Victorian riding habits and horses.

Identical...
Us about to be invaded (again).
this time it's those pesky Romans.
'Romani ite Domum' is what I say.
(Fans of Monty Python should
understand that) :-)

The next item is 'Jaunt'.  As I'm on holiday from work at the moment I've had quite a few over the last week.

I had a jaunt to Bradgate Park
on a beautifully misty morning...

I had a jaunt to the Cotswolds
with fellow photographer Corrie...

A jaunt to photograph a friend's new puppy...

... and of course
yesterday's jaunt to Kelmarsh Hall.

You did a magnificent job with these. Your editing on the Kelmarsh Hall Festival is perfect and all the other little 'this or thats' very fitting to the prompts.

Great post, I love the shots of the ladies in Victorian garb riding the horses. They look like they know what they are doing. The shot of the guys in armor is also outstanding and I loved all your "jaunt" pics.

Thanks for a great post.

I cannot, no matter how hard I try, pick a favorite photo today. I love them all. I've always wondered why women riding sidesaddle didn't fall off - it looks so unstable. Glad you're enjoying your holiday.

You did such a great job with these challenging prompts!

I love all your jaunt photos! They are just lovely, especially the deer, the duck, and the lavender.

Like you my favorite pictures are the ones with the horses and the Victorian riding clothes. Beautiful.

I understand how heat and here high humidity can make you nutty. I am in the /d/e/e/p/ /s/o/u/t/h of the /U/S where it never gets cold-to me anyway who lived in the north. Those born here though have a different idea of cold.

Your kitty is also camouflaged! I almost didn't see him there. And the deer looks absolutely nutty....like he is smiling at you! How'd you get him to do that??? Love the pictures of the ladies on horses....and is that a field of lilac? Beautiful! Great pictures, all!

Oh my gosh these are fabulous. I loved your kitty acting "nutty", what a fun shot.
In fact everything was just a delight and it looks like you had a great time on your "jaunts" and got to see some really cool stuff. That deer being one. I love seeing deer in the wild.
I enjoyed my stay here.

Thank you :-) And I had to nothing to do with that smirk on the deer's face - he had obviously just thought of a cunning plan :O)))
