The Great Escape...

Thursday Favorite Things

aquariann's Snowflake Blog Hop

Friday Photo Journal

Yesterday was just one of those days that were made for escaping from it all. Mist, ice, snow still lying on the ground and two days holiday booked from work.  Off to Bradgate Park with 7D then...

Gulls on a wall

I include this last shot only to point out that I WANT THAT HOUSE!

What a fabulous set of photos! Are they straight out of the camera, or have you tweaked them?

These are gorgeous! Frostily, moodily gorgeous!

I want that house too!! Wonderful place in a lovely setting.

I love the photo of the birds all huddled on the... what is that? Wall? Hedge? Fence? I see elements of all three! But my favorite photo, though, is the one just beneath it of the flocked trees and waterfall. That scene doesn't even look real, it's so beautiful - I half expect to see the Ice Queen peeking around one of those tree trunks! (Psssst... make a great January photo on a 2014 calendar, don't you think?) ;-)

That has got to be one of the most un-subtle hints ever! LOL! And the gulls are perched on a stone wall :O))

I know I'm repeating myself but your photos just continue to get better and better as you experiment. These are such wonderful winter scenes they make me want to book a trip to England immediately.

Thank you Barbara, and Mitzi, welcome :O) For those who are newbiews here, Bradgate Park in Leicestershire was the home of Lady Jane Grey (the Nine Days Queen) but is now a beautiful park open to all. If you ever get the chance for a ramble there, then do go.
