Oh please, if I dress like one of Richard III's troops, might I shelter on that pretty bench by the hollyhocks? I'll just bring my book and not bother anybody. :-)

I agree with the comments that the light in these photos is soft and magical, and helps them express so poignantly a late summer days' gentle end.
