Cats on Tuesday...

Not a lot to report this week as the cats have mainly been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather by sleeping.  Mrs P did go to the vets again for her final ear check-up, and Aga was very pleased with her as not only were her ears fine, but she'd put on weight too.  Mrs P was quite well behaved until Aga trimmed her claws for her (because she doesn't go out much they'd become so long that they were catching on the rug), the Podster then became apoplectic with rage and started screaming, hissing, growling, spitting and generally swearing in a most unladylike manner...  When we got back into the waiting room people were giving her sympathetic looks - thinking what terrible things must have been done to the poor itty bitty kitty cat to cause it to make a noise like that... which of course Mrs P played up to by looking pathetic.  I felt shame.  She celebrated by stinking the car out on the way home and then eating a large amount of food as soon as she got in the door.

I did try to get some pics of Pepper this week but she was being a flighty minx, so instead here are some of Charlie (he doesn't move as fast so is easier to catch on camera).

Charlie from above...
Charlie - ever at the alert for signs of danger and/or food...

and here he is showing his versatility in posing on the bench...

Exhausted by his morning in front of the camera he collapses on the furry throw...
(Thanks to David for taking that last shot!)

Charly would be the perfect partner for Rosie, they look so very much alike ! Mrs. P still behaved good at the vet. One who is impossible is Arthur since he had his broken tail (he was bitten by another cat) Now you can't even get him out of the cage, he is all claws out the ears flat on the head and roaring like a tiger. She he Vet has to give him a calming shot otherwise there is nothing to do not even with gloves. I was really shocked when I saw the first time my peaceful Arthur becoming really a dangerous wild cat ! Unbelievable ! but true !

Luna - enjoy the sun!
Gattina - I can't believe that of Arthur, he looks such a, well, er, pussycat!

Poor Mrs. Pod - she goes to all the effort to make sure she has perfect ears AND to behave perfectly for the vet, only to suffer the indignity of having her nails clipped at the end! Some thanks! I'd pitch a hissy too. And you're lucky that she took food IN as soon as she got back home. Could have gone the other way. ;-)

Charlie's photos are so great I don't even mind (much) that you were unable to get any of Pepper. I especially love the third one (those green cat eyes on his collar are a hoot!) and fourth one, so kudos to David for that adorable final shot!

We especially love that second shot of Charlie, with the background glow and green bringing out his gorgeous eyes.

Our human had to laugh at Mrs. P at the vet, though. Her beloved angel Annie would "cuss" a blue streak at the vet, and hiss and spit too. "Feisty" was the way one vet put it. :-D

My favorite was the picture of Charlie asleep. I love pictures of cats when they sleep, they look so adorable and innocent! I have a cat like Mrs. P when it comes to having her nails trimmed. The way she hisses and carries on you'd think we were murdering her!

Laloofah - I have told Pepper I would film her running around just for you, if she'd only let me damn well know when she's going to do it! Maybe those eyes on Charlie's collar have replaced his amulet of evil... Mwahahahahah!

Fuzzy Tales - I don't think Charlie had ever seen a camera before he came to live with us, now he's a seasoned pro at posing in photogenic settings! I like the sound of Annie!

Irishcoda - Yes even Charlie looks innocent when he's unconscious...

And a brief Charlie update - I weighed him on our scales this afternoon, he roughly weighs about 16lb, or 7.25kg. Last summer he was 6.4kg!!!

Awww...it isn't easy being a star and getting photographed. Oh go and have a rest. As for the rest, life seem normal, oif at times, a bit ghastly ;-)
