Before I start with the photos, can I just say a great big thanks to Kristi, Rebecca and Alicia for choosing one of my photos from last week's Shades of Autumn as one of their top pictures, I was so chuffed because some seriously good photographers enter their images for this challenge and for one of mine to be chosen, well... speechless. Anyway, needless to say I became ridiculously over-excited when I heard and had to be slapped by Pepper.
Right then, on with the purple, not the easiest of colours to find.

Purple is not the first colour I associate with autumn, But I will have to change my mind after that last leaf :-)

Nature is amazing, love the purple leaf!
I wouldn't have thought of purple for fall either but the leaf really catches my eye. I'll have to look for purple colors in nature around here. Congratulations on your picture being chosen. Probably Pepper secretly enjoyed slapping you. :)

Congrats Barb! Haha...I have a new word to add to my vocab...chuffed! You might have to be "chuffed" again next week because you have some seriously fantastic photos here. I especially love that second shot. Congrats!

Purple may not be the easiest color to find, but you sure made it look easy! Exquisitely rich photos! It's really hard for me to choose a favorite among them, but that second one is so dramatic - if choosing a favorite were absolutely required by some arcane blog commenting rule, that would be the one I'd go with. :-)
I am so in love with the colour of the leaf in that last photo, and the beautiful simplicity of the whole composition.
