The cats entered some of their photos in the local animal rescue's Cat Photography Competition. They don't believe it's the taking part that counts, they wanted to win and were willing to be quite ruthless about it. Charlie had a very nice campaign of blackmail and intimidation all plotted out if things didn't turn out in their favour. Fortunately they didn't have to resort to any violence as Pepper won first prize in the rescue cat category, she also got second prize in the cat caption category, another second with Posky in felines and friends (or should that be fiends?), and Posky took third prize for sleeping cat. Their prizes are coming tomorrow night and the nice lady who contacted me from the rescue centre also talked about using the photos on some cards to sell for the charity. Smiles all around!
'If I don't win I will scream and scream and scream until I'm sick!!!!'

Haha...love your sense of humor...OR, your cats' sense of humor :). Boy oh boy, those eyes in the first photo are just mesmerizing! Congrats!
Kathy
Not only the eyes, but the whiskers and adorable pink nose too. :-)
Congratulations all round! Your photos are marvellous, so glad they'll be used for fundraising for such a great cause.
Congratulations! I enjoyed all of your photos!
I'm so happy that Pepper and Posky won so many prizes (though I definitely think Posky deserved to place much higher than 3rd in the "Sleeping Cat" category!), that you are helping raise money and awareness for such a good cause, and that Charlie didn't have to resort to mischief and mayhem. At least not this time. ;-)
Wonderful photos! Wonder what the judges would think of your Drama in the Garden series?!
Concatulations! We're not surprised at your winning; you are cat stars...
Many thanks. Pepper almost turned herself inside out with excitement when she heard. I'm sure there will be photos of the prizes at some stage!
Laloofah: The lady from the charity actually singled Posky's picture out as being particularly likely to sell well as a card. He doesn't care about winning prizes, his Auntie Sandra has sent him a beautiful white(!), furry throw to lie on and he was taking full advantage of its luxury last night. He of course had his photo taken on it :O)
By the way, he wanted to know did you think his bum looks big in that photo on the stairs? ;O)))
Well they're really are a winners! Just look at those projection and I'm glad they cooperated well.
I am jalous now ! Your pictures are so nice ! I have to make an effort to be competitive ! (Says Rosie !)
I don't doubt it, that photo of Posky sleeping would make a great card. I have a card with a photo of a puppy curled up sleeping in his food dish that says, "But first, a cozy nap..." That inscription would go perfectly with Posky's photo, too!
Tell Posky that his bum in the staircase shot does not look big, but rather luxuriantly fluffy and proportional to the rest of him. And tell him I appreciate his solicitation of my opinion on the matter! LOL!
What great photos! And all were winners in our opinion!
Laloofah: Think I may have insulted Posky with talk of wide angle lens. He therefore wanted a second opinion and after seeing your dogs' nifty bandanas he obviously thinks of you as an international style guru! Am writing this on the phone of misinformation so if there is anything more bizarre than usual here don't blame me!
Mjau, mjau!
You can have my points. Where do I send them?
Hope you will win, and I can't stand cats screaming...sweaty!

Very winning pictures, all of them. Pepper's caption sounds just like Violet from the 'Just William' books, only she thweamed, and thweamed and thweamed until she was thwick!
LOL - well, tell Posky I appreciate his confidence in my critter fashion sense! (And I hope he notices how poetic I am, too!) ;-)
Wide angle lens? Oh, you didn't! To make it up to him, the next time you find yourself photographing Posky's rear quarters you'd better make a big deal out of having to use a more powerful zoom lens in order to ensure that his little butter-bean sized butt shows up in the photo.
No wonder these shots were winners, but how come there aren't any of Charlie? Was he being a prima donna? I do love the sleeping picture. Your cats are absolutely genius.
Barbara - Charlie and Mrs P didn't win any prizes, although due to the 'Borg Collective' nature of the cats the prizes are being shared between them. I think Mrs P and his black and white-ness will have to feature heavily next week to make up for their absence in this post.
Laloofah - 'butter bean sized butt' LOL!!
