Words...
Does what it says on the tin really.
Under...
Under the trellis walkway in the Italian Gardens.
Love this statue as this lady
seems to be giving her pet snake a
saucer of milk (or something).
Orange...
To tell you the truth, after Friday's mammoth
orange session for Shades of Autumn I was not inspired to take another.
So here's one I did earlier (the date's a bit of a giveaway).
Fly...
Until yesterday I was a bit bemused as to what to do for this one.
Our trip to Trentham solved it however when I saw
geese artworks on the lake, I thought they
looked brilliant!
...same goose, different angle - and this time he's with some friends.
They suspect nothing...
Always look on the bright side...
David has to drink coffee through a straw at the moment
and I decided to utilise them for this prompt as they're
lovely bright colours.
And you thought I was going to mention Monty Python... :O)

Great set, really love the jack-o'-lantern. And those gardens look gorgeous.
Considering how bright the light seemed to be yesterday you did a wonderful job of not blowing out the sky in those lovely garden shots. I really like that geese sculpture photo especially with the sedum plantings and having the real ones in the picture too. I think those straw shots are so abstract - I would never have thought of taking a shot of straws! Glad to hear that David's got that lump removed from his lip.
Love your 'under'! And, what a cool idea with that goose art...fab capture :) Great scavenger hunt!!
I love your under and bright side pictures - great finds this week!
So glad you are back to Scavenger Hunt this week! How ironic to see your Italian Garden photos as I JUST got done researching a trip to Lake Como for next summer! :) I really like the colors in those garden photos, especially the sky. That "goose art" is a brilliant find too...how interesting! But I think my favorite is your "bright side" capture....Monty Python or not :)
Kathy
Love the geese, so creative, and the bright colors of the straws. I'm very glad David has gotten rid of his unsightly bump. Now he can just tell everyone you smacked him in the mouth when he got a little sassy. :)
Hi I like your word very much as well the orange pic !!!! (and I have kind of the same idea in my pics :) I like your under photo and so nice close up to straws !!! ( I hope your husband gets better soon ! )
Very interesting set - I really like the orange straws.
At first I was sucked into the pics of the garden & then I got to the straws- WOW- those came out so cool!
Your straws collage is delightful . . . such happy colours.
Great set, under is beautiful, love the perspective, and bright side is fantastic, love the colours!
BEAUTIFUL SET!!! Each of your photos is so interesting.
Love the Italian Garden.. miss Italy so much.
Orange is very cool as well.
I lOVE the straws. I think I need to get some myself for some shots, LOL.
Love those geese! And hope the other half's mouth heals fast...
Oh man, do I ever have some daunting (but fun) catching up to do! I want to skip right to the latest episode of "Drama in the Garden," but am trying to stay disciplined by starting with your latest post and working backward. At least for starters. :-)
I am aggrieved as well that George Clooney failed to materialize in Trentham's beautiful Italian Gardens. Oh well, his loss! ;-) And even without him, the gardens are splendid! I love the flying goose artwork on the lake, and his unsuspecting friends! (How many of the flying geese were there?)
The photo of the straws is just wonderful! Love the lighting and the colors, and thought it was most clever of you to get those shots. I had no idea what they were till I read your caption.
Here's to David's continued speedy recovery and your readjustment to work after a fortnight off (that went by FAST!) Hope your car is all back together again too! You guys have had a Humpty-Dumpty month!
Thanks all :O)
Rosie - it was VERY bright, the sky was ok with your back to the sun but tricky otherwise, and of course it limits what you can shoot.
Kathy - if you come back from Lake Como with photos of you and George I will leave rude comments on your page!!! ;O)
Barbara - people who know David would find that all too easy to believe :O)))
Laloofah - Car now mended and David had his one week post-op check up with the nurse. She said it was a lovely job and healing nicely! I think there were three geese on the lake, one made to look as if it were just landing which was very clever. Oh and I've just found out that they're meant to be swans! (I still think they look like geese!).
So glad the operation's over and done with. All that time without being able to kiss! Argh!
I just couldn't think what that weird bundle of straw was at first, but the next angle revealed all! Beautiful!
Love the straws. You're so creative!
I rushed over here from FaceBook when I read you'd been dressing Charlie up (you brave woman!). I'm looking forward to the Hallowe'en shots.
Now I'm just hoping this'll post after the way my witty, facinating and erudite comments failed, last time I tried... Here we go...
Penny
They look like geese to me, too! (And it appears that the real geese agree with us!)
