I actually made a bit more of an effort to get out and about for this week's Scavenger Hunt. I did miss out the 'Ink' one as I just ran out of time, but I have done two for 'Against the light', so hope that makes up for it!
Against the Light...
Stone cross in Stratford upon Avon cemetery.
Against the Light #2...
Trees against the sun at Batsford Arboretum.
Frame within a frame...
David looking at the war graves, viewed
through the cemetery chapel
Best Part of your Day...
The best part of my day is very early morning,
when everything is quiet and it's just me (plus my camera)
and the promise of the day ahead...
I took this just after 6a.m. one day this week when
the garden was still wet with the night's rain...
Buttons...
A bit of a shock to the system after all those monotone images!
I like the frame within a frame very much. War graves are so poignant. The early morning shot is beautiful - real hope that the day ahead will be tranquil.
ReplyDeleteReally great set - I especially like your best part of your day shot.

ReplyDeleteKathy
Love your best part of the day shot.
ReplyDeleteWow....seriously, wow! The shots taken in the cemetery are gorgeous. The frame with in a frame is by far my favorite, but I love them all. You have a great eye!
ReplyDeleteAh, you did really well with them even without the ink;) Love the cross, the buttons (what a great idea to have them all in the same color and great composition!)
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with you about the morning advantage:)
Nicely done, as always! I really look forward to your posts, even if I arrive tardily at times. :-)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how old that cross is? Looks like it's seen a lot of centuries come and go...
Early morning is my best part of the day too, and I love the whole peaceful, reflective, fresh mood of that photo; especially effective with the green tint.
Well bust my buttons, those sure are cheery and colorful! I love how the tone of this last photo is the complete opposite of the first one, but how the third button from the bottom almost perfectly echos the round part of the cross. Very cool!
Great set, your frame is great! Love your buttons and best part!
ReplyDeleteWow...all your shots are just breathtaking. I can't pick a favorite...I love them all! Awesome job!
