Well I'd been planning shots for this all week and then before I knew it I'd run out of time and had to snap four of them tonight in about half an hour (you can probably tell!!!).
Music to my ears...
My guitar - not a lot else to say!
Hat...
Helen in nifty headgear in Northamptonshire.
I made her wear a hat and let me take her photo
in payment for giving her some of the
Dark Chocolate and Ginger cake I made...
Bribery and coercion works every time.
Clear...
Perfume in clear bottle - I do like the light in this one.
If Givenchy are reading this I am available for any advertising campaigns
they might need shooting :O)
Out of this world.
Charlie was unaware there was a dalek
creeping up on him. The dalek was unaware
that he had just made the biggest mistake of his life...
(You can tell I was getting desperate at this point can't you?!?)
Sprinkles...
I was going to get some lovely pretty
cup-cake sprinkles for this and do an arty
shot of me scattering them. FAIL!
I had to use some salt instead - ho hum.
Wait a minute - all Helen had to do to score a piece of your Dark Chocolate and Ginger Cake was to put on a hat and pose for a photo?! I WANT THAT GIG!! :-)
ReplyDeleteAwfully fun post for one that was thrown together in no time! Speaking of throwing things, I hope you tossed some of that salt over your shoulder after you took that photo. (Or does bad luck not follow if you sprinkled it intentionally rather than spilling it by accident?)
Givenchy owes you big $$$ (or rather, big £££) for that great photo and publicity, even if they don't hire you for future ad shoots.
My favorite is Charlie and the darlek. I have no idea what a darlek is (but think it looks like a cute alien salt shaker!) But I know what a Charlie is, and wonder how the poor darlek fared. Oh dear, I hope that "salt" in the last photo isn't all that's left of the poor little alien salt shaker now!
These are wonderful - I especially love your hat and sprinkles shots.
ReplyDeleteWe love the hat and sprinkles shots too. :)
ReplyDeleteNice set! Love the perspective on the guitar!
ReplyDeleteAt least you got a Sprinkles shot in... I totally only had cupcake sprinkles on my mind and couldn't come up with anything else!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Hat shot!
Laloofah: Well, I'm shocked that you've never heard of a dalek (I spelled it wrong the first time I wrote this post!), please click here for more info

Poor little alien salt-shaker indeed! (The one in the photo is actually the top of a pen, it was removed from Charlie before he chewed its head off).
I did throw some salt over my shoulder just in case, as I wasn't sure of the correct protocol for deliberately spilling it :O)
And ref Helen, she loves cake and is easily bribed with it to stand around in car parks posing in a hat. Added to that, she also sends me flattering texts and keeps a supply of lapsang souchong teabags in her house just for my visits, so I guess I'm easily bribed as well :O))
hey salt worked just as well. You made chocolate ginger cake again? I want some.
ReplyDeleteLove the guitar shot, lovely perspective.
I love all these pictures. They all seem very fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Love the cat and the hat. And the guitar - wow! (But I am biased, because I play the guitar myself :))
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous blog!
Visiting you from The Scavenger Hunt.
Blessings,
This Good Life
These are great!! Love the out of this world and music to my ears one!
ReplyDeleteI like the angle on your guitar shot! Lovely interpretation! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I really love your music to my ears.
ReplyDeleteI love the out of this world picture and the guitar (but then, I'm partial toward music :)

I realize that in admitting this I am completely opening myself up to ridicule, if not outright contempt, but I have never watched Dr. Who! So I am mortified to learn that the cute little Dalek salt shaker turned out to be evil! Who (pun intended) woulda thunk it? "The Daleks were born without any ability to feel compassion or pity and were motivated only by hate, fear and an implacable belief that they were the superior creatures in the Universe." (Hmm, add "greed" to that and it sounds like a certain group of U.S. politicians, Wall Street firms, multi-national corporations and the animal ag industry!)
ReplyDeleteAt least your co-dependent bribery with Helen is reciprocal. LOL I frankly think Helen is getting off cheap. Me, I'd single-handedly take on the entire fleet of Daleks for a piece o' that cake!
that cat shot is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteyour last minute shots are far from looking last minute! excellent job. and I'm all for bribery. works like a charm :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool set. I love sprinkles
ReplyDeleteLaloofah: Speechless about Dr Who!!! That list of dalek characteristics reminded me a bit of certain cats ;O)
ReplyDelete(Pssst, Charlie... your mom's the one who said it, not me!)
ReplyDeleteI know, I need to check out Dr. Who soon. It was only last year that I first watched Black Adder! I'm slow, but steady. Think of me as a TV Show Tortoise. LOL
LOL! I wouldn't bother with the early Dr Who programmes, despite what certain traditionalists say they were pretty rubbish. Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant where the best ones (and Catherine Tate the best companion). I've given up watching the new ones and Pepper and I have transferred our allegiance to Torchwood and Captain Jack!
ReplyDeleteA very nice collection of what must be called "this and that" :-)
ReplyDeletePS Thank your very nice comment and condolences. they are highly appreciated.
ha ha... my hubby loves dr. who... ;) clever shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretations! I tried a guitar photo, but it didn't come out well. Maybe next time!
