A good week for photography in that a company from Stratford upon Avon asked me if they could use one of my photos (the same one that the Shakespeare Hospice used a couple of years ago) for a Christmas card in return for a donation to a charity of my choice. I said yes so my local animal rescue centre, Leicester and Leicestershire Animal Aid, should be getting a cheque for £100. Result!
Wild...
Wild swan.
'Wild, wild? I was absolutely livid'.
Fellow Brits should know where that's from... :o)
Wild #2...
Fungi
'Welcoming' pumpkins
at the pumpkin farm.
Adventure...
'It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door.
You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet,
there's no knowing where you might be swept off to'.
Vibrant...
Foo Dog surrounded by
autumn vibrance...
Vibrance #2
Well, it's sort of of vibrant.
Me taking a pic of my 7D,
which in turn is taking a pic of David
surrounded by the rich colours of
the World Peace Cafe at Kelmarsh.
Vibrant #3
Hastily taken photo
of Halloween type things on our fireplace.
There should have been more things on our fireplace
but SOMEONE put them away last year
and can't remember where he put them!!!

Classic..
Ah this my friends is my bike
(we have named her Lady Hester after Lady Hester Standhope).
Is she not lovely?
She is a Princess Sovereign,
hand built in Stratford upon Avon by
Pashley, who are Britain's oldest established
bike manufacturers.
A true classic,
(and the bell actually goes 'ding-dong'!).
Classic #2...
Classic misty graveyard shot.
I like your 1. vibrant and adventure very much but also I like those first 3 photos because of their mild colors! I like most of all your 1. photo and it's like a classic too !!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your fungi one (I nearly posted a fungi one - maybe I should do two pics sometimes too!) and the dog and also the bike - a real classic. Oh and I forgot - my favourite is the sparkly halloween things - a really great capture of the vibrance.
ReplyDeleteSeriously great set of photos for this week's scavenger hunt. I really enjoyed your picture of your 7D and the warm vibrant tone of the dinning area.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!! I just love the swan picture!
ReplyDeleteLove your picture of your camera taking a picture, that is so creative. And the swan one...and the bike....and the one of the driveway...okay, I just like them all. :) Great set!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots. That bike is so neat and I love how you edited that graveyard shot. And the adventure shots are so fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, great shots, I especially loved the leaves along the road, the old school bicycle, and I adore the graveyard shot.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love a blog with great photos named Words, Words, Words!
GREAT shot of the graveyard!
ReplyDeleteYogi... the name came about before my photography took over :O)
ReplyDeleteScavengery (if there is such a word) this is NOT. Beautiful photographs:-)
ReplyDeleteIf it's not a word it should be :O) Thank you.
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome set. - You have a great style of photography. There is something about your shots that I find very appealing.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Adventure shot and would love traveling down that road to see what lies ahead.
Wild - Both were great but the Mushrooms caught my attention the most.
A beautiful set you have here this week! I especially li ke the photo of your camera. That is a gorgeous bokeh in the background.
ReplyDeleteGreat set this week! My favorites are adventure and classic.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on trading your photo for a big chunk of financial aid to needy animals! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI love all these shots, but "Adventure" (the quote's perfect!) and "Vibrant #3" are my favorites. I also really enjoyed the Foo Dog and the cool photo of a camera taking a photo - which doubles (get it?) as a mug shot of the guilty party in the Great Halloween Bauble Heist (oh, he can SAY he "can't remember" all he wants, but I suspect he sold your Halloween goodies on the black market to raise money to buy you a new lens to replace the one he was responsible for breaking! See how nefarious he is?!)
And the bike is definitely a beauty, with a wonderful pedigree. You gonna get yourself one? That basket could carry your camera on all kinds of photo shoot adventures! :-)
LOL, that 'mug shot' comment cracked me up. He LOOKS suspicious, and guilty as well come to think of it... nothing would surprise me about the levels he would stoop to - he used to be in the RAF Police remember... AND he's not fixed Pepper's diamante collar trinket yet - her little heart is breaking. None of us are speaking to him and it serves him right!
ReplyDeleteThat is my bike - jealous yet? :O))))

ReplyDeleteI forgot about poor Pepper's collar trinket - and so David's lengthy rap sheet grows ever longer, and our suspicions regarding the missing box of Halloween decorations grow ever deeper...
ReplyDeleteYes, I am TOTALLY jealous! (Please don't tell Sylvia, though!) I'd read your caption as, "And this is my friend's bike," and was wondering which lucky friend you were talking about! LOL
You need to take more water with it woman! :O)))
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteSo, David still hasn't figured out where he put everything?
Nope, he's still lost everything (including the plot).
