Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

Ramblings and Photos

What a strange week...  the worst, most bizarre hailstorm on Thursday, my camera getting dropped and the 50mm lens breaking yesterday, those terrible fires in America... we hope that you and yours are all safe wherever you are.  (And just wanted to add many congrats to Ashley of Ramblings and Photos on the surprise early arrival of their baby girl!).

On with the Scavenger Hunt.  Some of these are from the archives, some new - it's just been one of those weeks.

Sunset Sunset...

Sweet...
The smell of lavender...

Sweet #2...
St Michael's Church, Warmington
which we visited yesterday was
very sweet...

Hanging around...
it's as easy as falling off a...
oh.

Hanging around #2
Cath and Helen find a new friend...

Hanging around #3
Proof that they really are out of their tree...

Hanging around #4
Nothing at all I can add!

Funny face...
Did you honestly expect anyone else?!?

What I do...
Space...
Sometimes y ou have to get away from everybody and everything,
(including your deranged friends)
and find your own space...

... and these were two of the
beautiful spaces I discovered
yesterday at The National Herb Centre
in Oxfordshire.
I could have sat there for hours.

  2. Love the self portraits, and so sorry about that lens. Stuff happens sometimes. I just had to replace a set of lens extenders. Frustrating. Could have been worse though, my nephew was photographing at the edge of a cliff, and his camera, lens, and tripod all went over with a gust of wind. All lost. Hope you like your new lens just as well.

  5. I love the beautiful sunset and lavender pics! And those two goofy friends of yours - you three should have your own comedy show. :-) Pepper is going to be jealous if she sees the photo of Cath holding The Buddha's hand - unless she also sees the photo of Cath falling backwards off the log, in which case she'll probably decide she doesn't have much to worry about. LOL

I could have sat there for hours too! What a peaceful spot. I love that there's a National Herb Centre (one of the things I guess we Yanks forfeited when we opted to go our own way in order to spell it "Center.") ;-)

  6. Jaimie - glad to see you again!

Jeanne - oh your poor nephew! I hope the camera etc was insured.

Abi - I actually have an MA in wimpy :O)

Laloofah - What are The Stupid Twins like eh?! I think it must have been something karmic that made Cath fall off the log... like abandoning her friends to clean the house etc. And the National Herb CENTRE is great (I refuse to even contemplate there being such a thing as a CENTER of anything!).

  7. One day I'll learn to type.. that should have read 'I have an MA in whimsy'! My keyboard thinks it knows what I mean (when even I don't sometimes...)!

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
