Cats on Tuesday... The Return of the Kelmarsh Panther

Those that read my last post know that I went to a fete with Helen at the meditation centre.  There we had a sighting of the elusive Kelmarsh Panther (Pod to his friends... if he allows them such liberties).  He was looking even less impressed than usual as besides there being a loud band plus gazillions of people in his garden, there were also quite a lot of these...

Yes that's right...
d*gs!

Here he tries to look
nonchalant about it all...

... but gives up and takes to lurking
underneath a hedge.

Closer to home... Charlie's ears are much better and Geraldine the Vet says he's even managed to lose a bit of weight (much to Charlie's disgust).  He was very well behaved throughout it all and sat on the table purring (and taking an unhealthy interest in where Geraldine kept the sharp and/or poisonous things).  Posky was also a star at his acupuncture session, even letting Linda comb him (he went very silly in the process and embarrassed himself).

Here's a pic of Charlie and Pepper guarding their
stash of catmint in the garden from Ralph and Little Creep...
No idea what Pepper's ears are up to!

  1. Yes, better be watchful with dogs ! Only Arthur doesn't move which makes the dogs wonder ! Good to hear that Charlie's ears are better !
What a nice still life the last picture the cats guarding their catmint, lol !
BTW Dominique wasn't too sad about her birds, (fortunately) she now will buy two canaries instead of this bread which didn't sing but made noises like a frog !

  5. My dogs say, "It's about d*mn time!" that you feature some dogs on your blog. ;-) Lovely dogs they are, too (are they Lurchers? Salukis?), but the one lying with his/her chin on the blanket looks depressed. I would be too if my collar had been purchased from the Bondage section of an S&M Sex Toy shop.

The Kelmarsh Panther looks much more authentic lurking rather than acting nonchalant. A natural born lurker, that one! (Sure is gorgeous!)

I'm glad Charlie has shown improvement in both his ears and his weight loss plan, and LOLed at his showing an unhealthy interest in the Sharp Instruments & Poisons drawer at the vet's! I wish you'd been able to get a photo of Posky going silly and embarrassing himself. He's always so dignified!

I LOVE the last photo! I think Pepper is in the process of flattening her ears because she's aware of Charlie's recent ordeal with his and doesn't want to attract undue attention to her own. I totally covet your splendid bird bath, by the way - and can't help but suspect that the location Charlie & Pepper chose for their catmint surveillance was no accident. "Feeding two birds with one scone," as it were. ;-)

  6. Luna - long time no purr! So glad to see you again... Not too sure about all being friend though - Charlie can fall out with himself if there's no one else to argue with!

Ginger - Pepper thanks you for the compliment and completely agrees.

Laloofah - We thought they might be Salukis too... did you notice that the non-bondage dog is called Willow? :O) The KP does indeed lurk very well - has also been known to loiter too (with and without intent),
Charlie is always on the look out for weapons and implements of mayhem :O) And Posky, far from being dignified is a bit of an ankle-rubber on the quiet! You may be right about the location of the dynamic due... a bird was murdered in the garden this morning. I'm rounding up the usual suspects...

  9. Deanna - you're a brave woman admitting your allegiance to dogs within hearing of Charlie :o)

The Chair Speaks - Thank you:O)

  10. No, I hadn't noticed that her name was Willow! Funny, because I'd admired her fancy tag but hadn't seen what it said on it! Our Willow will be most pleased to know she shares her name with such a beautiful cousin across the Pond. :-)

  11. Such adorable animals. I'm of course a cat person. They are, after all, the ultimate life form on the planet.

  12. William we are in complete agreement (although I'd like to add George Cloony to the ultimate life form thing along with the cats if that's ok :O))

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
