Cats on Tuesday... Let's hear it for the boy :O)

Last Friday Posky had his official birthday - we don't know his actual birthday so we count the day we brought him home from the RSPCA as a day of celebration instead.  It was 16 years ago - can you believe it???  That probably means he's about 17 years old as he wasn't a small kitten when we got him - but age has not withered him, nor custom staled his infinite variety,  he's just as gorgeous as he was then if a little slower at getting around. (And if anyone can say what Shakespeare play that almost quote is from they can have a gold star and/or a virtual tin of tuna for any literary felines reading this).

As a bonus on his birthday, PETA chose Posky's picture to be featured on their Facebook page for their 'Feline Friday' slot.  So three cheers for Earl Grey!

  2. Happy Birthday, Posky! You are one hip cat and you don't look a day over two! (Honestly, I had no idea nor would I ever have guessed he was such a vintage purrsonage!) :-) I absolutely love the adorable photo of Posky and David napping. And congratulations to Posky for being a stah, dahling, on PETA's Facebook page! Wow, what a special day you've had!

And yes, Pepper, you're adorable too ~ right side up or upside down, you'll always be my favorite. ;-)

    Antony and Cleopatra. :-)

  3. P.S. I meant to add that Posky's green eyes are gorgeous and utterly beguiling! They look like emeralds, illuminated from within. Incredible!

  4. Thank you Buster, Rudy, Sam and Cindy :O)
Laloofah - Go to the top of the class! Although of course when Sir Patrick and I are in conversation about that particular play we refer to it as Tony & Cleo... and Pepper says she posed like that especially for you :O)))

  6. LOL! Really? Because when Sir Patrick and I chat about that play (usually over a bottle of terribly expensive wine from his own private collection while overlooking the beach at Cannes), we refer to it as Marky A and Patty Lou. ;-)~

Tell Pepper I thank her very much, and think her pose is every bit as beguiling as Posky's beautiful green eyes!

  7. You have the most brilliant way of capturing your feline's eyes. They are always so mesmerizing. And this is coming from a DOG person :). So you KNOW you must be doing something right!

  8. Happy Birthday Posky! You are quite the cat with those beautiful green eyes! What an honor to be chosen by Peta to have your picture on their Facebook page.

Pepper you are such a cutie. Of course you had to join in and show us that Posky isn't the only cute one in the house.

Laloofah - you're just showing off now... besides everyone knows that Patty Lou was Cleopatra's younger sister :OP

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
