Spookiness this week - and why not? Have been obsessing with infra red treatments in LightRoom after seeing a) the cover of a Phil Rickman book, and b) reading about infra red in a photography magazine. I'm not about to get my camera converted so post processing will have to suffice.

I haven't caught the disease yet, but must admit that the effect was stunning :-)
ReplyDeleteNot the photo I was expecting! :-)
ReplyDeleteI've not heard about infra-red photography (or the craze it is causing) from anyone but thee, but I too am loving the effects it creates! This is a very eerie, very cool photo! It looks like the residents beneath these headstones are being caught materializing above ground, sort of like the crew of the Starship Enterprise would get beamed up by Scotty! :-)
Very atmospheric, faintly menacing photo - clever:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you :O) I wanted atmosphere and lots of it in this shot so was pleased with the way the infra red effect added to it. I meant to add - the zoom effect was achieved with a zoom blur (I used PicMonkey but you can also do it in Elements).
ReplyDeleteLaloofah - I thought the snow shot a bit unseasonal :O) I am sure it will make an appearance at some point...
This was a perfect image for your experimentation. I have not heard of infra red photography, but I can now see where a person could become fascinated by it. I love how the rays radiate out at the top and bottom and how the tombstones are leaning one to the other. You have to wonder if they were nam and wife. genie
ReplyDeleteThe infra-red effect is great! Like:)
ReplyDeletewow I love the sense of "decay" in the way you have photographed this graveyard...wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteInteresting treatment of the gravestones. You seem to give them movement as well as depth. Well done.
ReplyDeleteAmazing effect! The photo is really ghostly. Congratulations for achieving this effect without a ghost!
ReplyDeleteLove this, cool ghost effects :0)
ReplyDeleteDecidedly spooky! Isn't it fun to experiment? I like the effects.
ReplyDeleteVery evocative. I actually like taking pictures in cemeteries.
