Aha! Who do we have here lying in wait
for unsuspecting tourists
in Stratford upon Avon?
in Stratford upon Avon?
Yes it's Ginger...
Sitting outside a jeweller's... hmmm!
He posed very nicely
(obviously used to the international attention his
status as the cat who
hangs around Shakespeare's Birthplace brings him...)
David tentatively tested the waters to see
whether Ginger would allow him to pet him...
The ears went back a bit,
but after an initial grab at David's hand Ginger decided
the strange man was harmless enough
and wasn't about to arrest him...
Oh, I love sweet Ginger-Upon-Avon! :-) (And what a picturesque street - looks like a lovely hangout for a famous cat).
ReplyDeleteOf course I ought to have written something from Shakespeare as a comment, But sadly I don't know anything that fits. Maybe just as well :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll just congratulate you with a nice concept!
What a lovely and "Shakespearian looking kitty!!
ReplyDeleteForgot to say... it's Henley Street and the building on the right with the chimney is Shakespeare's birthplace. Further up on the right in one of those redbrick buildings is The Creaky Cauldron museum and shop of magic and wizardry (http://www.seekthemagic.org/) which also has a tiny cafe in it that actually serves Lapsang Souchong tea! Ginger lives just about opposite to that.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he is a descendant from Shakespear's cat, lol ! Did he Shakespear meow ?
ReplyDeleteMjau, mjau.... yes, don't trust strangers immediately - be aware for some time..
ReplyDeleteNice guard job you have ... mjaugreetings from Sia
Oh what a beautiful kitty and how fun to find him guarding his domain so well :-) He looks a bit like our William the Orange although William is so shy he won't let anyone see him except for the four of us who live here :-)
