The last Sunday in February already... well I never. And what has this week been like? Well there was the Pancake Race in the local town which we watched from the office window - a strange and unusual ritual. And I've discovered that I have zero tolerance for people moaning about the weather. If I hear one more person saying the sky is too grey, the rain is too wet or the winter is too cold I think I will beat them to a pulp with my umbrella. I'm with Sir Rannulph Fiennes when he said 'There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing', so I wish people would stop being so bloody negative! I'm also rapidly developing a hatred of word verification, so please, if you have it turn it off, it could tip me over the edge. (I obviously need to meditate more...).
Handwritten...
An archive shot from a few weeks back.
A glimpse...
Strange woman glimpsed behind gravestone...
Crossed...
Well it is!
Taken when we had snow the other week.
Grey...
Earl Grey himself - my boy Posky.
Bliss...
Enlightenment.
(The Buddha has obviously never
had to deal with word verification)...
Bliss #2
A day out with a good friend in Stratford upon Avon,
laughing and having fun
whilst taking endless photos,
followed by a damn fine lunch.
Lovely shots Love your sense of Humour! Love Earl Grey. And Your ideas for Bliss (I found that one a toughy to photograph)I have a dislike for whingers as well. I just turn off. Have a great week and thankyou for stopping at mine and for your comment
ReplyDeleteIntersesting series of photos - I liked the snowy cemetery and Posky most of all.
ReplyDeleteSome people make a career out of moaning, I think.
Great photos, love them all. The grey one has to be my favourite. :)
ReplyDeletefun collection - I adore your 'crossed' picture - excellent perspective and depth of field.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised to hear that so many people whine about the weather so much there! Are they all ex-pats? Because I'd think the natives would be too used to Britain's dreary weather to even notice it, never mind complain about it. And where's that legendary stiff upper lip?
ReplyDeleteTell that "strange woman" she needs better camo if she strives to be a successful graveyard skulker. That large headstone she's hiding behind is no match for her hot fuchsia attire. ;-)
I'm not sure who looks more relaxed and blissed out, Posky or The Buddha!
I'm guessing you lost an especially clever or time-consuming comment on someone's blog due to a word verification snafu. Now don't get your knickers in a wad, but I'm not turning mine off. I tried that a couple months ago to save my commenting readers the trouble, and was immediately swamped with annoying spam on posts old and new. After three exasperating days of that rubbish, I turned word verification back on and on it will stay. So don't hate the word verification, hate the slimeball spammers who make it necessary. And hey, at least my infrequent posting means you don't have to deal with it but once or twice a month on my blog! ;-)
P.S. I love your new header - that's a great looking umbrella! (And great looking tree branches, too!)
ReplyDeleteLaloofah - you are forgiven your word verification because you're so nice. I'm hating the new two words that you have to type often can't make out what the letters are meant to be! And we've been there before about the British weather... :O))
ReplyDeleteCath got some odd looks in the cemetery because of her skulking, and probably also because I was standing on a bench yelling directions at her for some of the time.
I agree with you about how hard the word verification is, and it doesn't need to be! Blogger needs to switch to a much more readable version, like The Animal Rescue site uses for its shelter contest votes. Their word verification is a simple and legible 5 numbers and/or letters. If it works for them, why can't it work for Blogger?
ReplyDeleteLOL about you shouting directions to Cath in the cemetery! I'll BET that garnered you some looks! :-)
Love the cat shot. So snuggly!
ReplyDeletegreat interpretations for the challenge today!
ReplyDeleteHa! Love your Buddah comment! Funny!
ReplyDeleteThe kitty in your gray shot looks pretty blissed out. Love, love, love your crossed shot and glimpse is so much fun.

ReplyDeleteLOVE your crossed and Mr. Earl Grey!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm totally enthralled with your cross shot. Sounds morbid but I LOVE cemetaries! Such history there. But your word verification Buddha has me in stitches. I need me one of those!
