Cats on Tuesday...

OK I  know this is early, but I didn't do a Scavenger Hunt this week and anyway, snow - we had it!  It started on Saturday afternoon and continued into the night.  When this morning came we had a beautiful white world awaiting us.  I say us... apart from Charlie, none of the other cats were interested in stepping foot outside the back door (not that it was much warmer inside as OUR BOILER HAS BROKEN DOWN!!!!!).  Anyway, moment of hysteria over - here are some pics of Charlie doing his Call of the Wild thing.

Charlie in the snow
He's not sure is he?!?

Charlie in the snow
He creeps along the wall to investigate further...

Charlie in the snow
He takes another look at it...

Charlie in the snow
He sits, he thinks, he considers the pros and cons...

Charlie in the snow
He takes the plunge!

Charlie in the snow
There's no stopping him now!
Bravely traversing the huge drifts,
he makes his way to the bench to check that
Little Creep hasn't holed up in an igloo somewhere
in HIS garden...

Charlie in the snow
...and then he fearlessly stands watch at the gate,
selflessly guarding his home and family
from marauding polar bears and the like.
(Although he said they were welcome
to eat the other cats...).

  4. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr, Charlie you are one brave cat! that snow looks very cold. Hope your boiler comes back on ASAP. Sounds dangerous to be without heat in such cold weather. Look after yourself!

  8. Ah, what a truly cool cat is our Charlie. :-) Perhaps his Amulet of Evil protects him from the cold! Or maybe he really is one tough hombre. I adore the last photo, especially. Such an endearing one of him guarding hearth and home from polar bears and Abominable Snowmen (or perhaps just keeping a keen eye peeled for boiler repairmen!), but the black of the fence and the white of the snow goes so well with his black and white fur.

Stay warm (or at least well wined!!) :-)

  13. OMG (Oh My Gato!) ~ you're right! He's just wearing a bell and tag now! I checked Charlie's photos from last week's Cats on a Tuesday post, and he was diabolically blocking any view of his collar bangles with his paw and with his body. There is wickedness afoot, I tell you! And so I sense another Drama in the Garden episode brewing! ;-)

  15. What beautiful pictures of Charlie in the snow! Our gang enjoys looking at snow through the window but no one has any interest in going out in it!

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
