Cats on Tuesday...

Not a lot to report on the cat front over Christmas... they awoke briefly to eat then went to sleep again.  Pepper was prodded into wakefulness long enough to have her photo taken with some of their new toys, and Charlie was 'persuaded; to have his photo taken with David (ha!)'.

Pepper 'the paw' strikes again...
The red and white stripey toys were made by Sandra for the cats.
Janet bought them the catnip mice.

David and Charlie take part in the age-old Boxing Day tradition
of 'Cat Wrestling'.
(The cat usually wins).
Anyone else reminded of that cartoon,
'I will hug him and pet him, and I will call him George'?!?

Charlie and the bookcase
Charlie can't believe
that Laurie said yesterday that
Pepper was her favourite cat...

Charlie in b&w
... and here he is hoping that Penny
will be along soon to mollify his feelings.

  1. That's "Catmas", they don't bother except that there is good food and therefore useful to interrupt the daily nap !

  3. Here I am, Charlie! You called??? Of course you're my favourite cat! I think the other cats are gorgeous and sweet, but you! What can I say? You're beautiful, photogenic and feisty! My kind of chap!!!

(Barbara, I realise it's easy to feel like this about Charlie from a safe distance... :o) )

  6. I can see Charlie was just thrilled to be wrestling with David. :) At least it looks like you had a calm Christmas. Happy New Year, Barbara and David.

  9. we cannot believe it's been ages since our last visit here. we blame the human and her supposedly busy schedule over the holidays for that omission.

boy you got pretty shiny new toys. can we come over and play with you?

  10. Irishcoda: Yes that's the little minx herself. She loves playing with things, her favourite is a plastic ring that she runs after and likes you to throw for her.
Kathy: Not a cat person??!?? And you seemed so normal too ;O) Never mind, stick around long enough and you too will be yearning for a kitty under your Christmas tree (and possibly up the Christmas tree trying to knock it over and maul the fairy at the top).

  11. Well, I guess the cat is really out of the bag now, huh? (*snork*) I didn't realize that Charlie has access to your blog and the ability to read English, or I never would have been insensitive enough to declare my favoritism in print! (Or maybe Charlie can't read, but SOMEONE, whose name shall not be mentioned but whose initials are BARBARA, blabbed!) LOL

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
