The cats have been joining in with the Christmas preparations. In most cases this means sticking their noses in to everything, getting into boxes and in Charlie's case, tearing up any stray piece of wrapping paper that comes his way. They have quite a few presents in their stockings to open on Christmas Day courtesy of Janet and Sandra who I work with. Sandra has actually made them some catnip toys and wrapped them up (the strength of the catnip can be determined by the fact that Charlie tried to grab the parcel out of my hand when I took it out of my bag!). They also have quite a lot of treats, which Posky isn't allowed to have because of his kidneys, and Charlie shouldn't have because he's put on so much weight he looks like a hairy ball.
There's something in that bag that they're obviously
obsessing about... :O)
Charlie sat still for so long
that he got decorated for Christmas by accident...
Cat Christmas stockings are bulging with toys and treats...
I have no idea what that thing on the left is!
Pepper has been busy... bored without her friend the Buddha
who has gone on retreat for Christmas,
she sought out new entertainment involving me.
I was trying to take a photo of our tree,
so she determined to get
into every shot...
Sometimes with an abandon bordering
on the reckless, not to say violent...
Here she is up to her old tricks with the advent calendar...
... and showing off her new collar and tag from her prizes she won
for her photos...
...and here she is trying to
convince people she's a good girl and completely
innocent of any wrong-doing.
... and finally
For more Christmas kitties visit Gattina's Cats on Tuesday.
Hehehe ! everywhere the same with the Christmas decoration ! But at least your cats are still quiet active, most of the others are sleeping !
ReplyDeleteThe shaking cats are so cute, I am not sure if they are your cats. The pictures are all gorgeous !
Merry Christmas !
Gattina: Yes they're my little miscreants. From left to right it's Charlie, Posky and Mrs Pod. Pepper was being unsociable at the time :O)
ReplyDeleteHave all 2-legged got Christmas crasy ??
ReplyDeleteEfurywhere you go all cat´s are moore or less dressed up with Santa suit´s and other crazy stuff !!

Hey! Holiday preparations are HARD work for us! What would humans do without our help and snoopervsion? ;-)
ReplyDeleteA very happy Yule and Merry Christmas to you all! Happy holidays!
Hi Kjelle. Yes, feel free to use the card. I'll check back later.
ReplyDeleteOMC!! You guys got big stockings full of presents!! We don't even have stockings yet! SO funny about the catnip! Merry Christmas, friends! Our Mom said to tell you she loves the picture of Pepper on the stairs!!
ReplyDeletePurrs from Buster, Rudy and Sam
The last picture of Pepper is wonderful! Such expression on Pepper's little face. My cats have stockings too. Cats in the kitchen can be fun but also very stressful for the cook! :0)
ReplyDeleteMOL!! Cats rule, and everyONE else drools!! (ok, that pic of Pepper under the tree, is that her sexy feline model pose?)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone :O)
ReplyDeleteCarla: MOL! Yes she does look a bit 'I'm too sexy for my fur' doesn't she?! :O)
what a wonderful family!
ReplyDeletemy Isadora makes everyone think she's a good girl yet she is a chaos agent
I love all the photos!!
Too funny about Charlie! Pepper is so pretty! Love all her pics. Love your Christmas card too!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how DID you do the movement on that first photo? Totally cool! Merry Christmas across the pond!
ReplyDeleteKathy
MOL, how cute! I think Au would tear apart a stocking if he thought there was a treat in it. Maybe next year we'll try this!
ReplyDeleteKathy: Paint Shop Animator - two photos taken very close together and it does the rest :O)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Merry Christmas cats for sure. I love the innocent and sexy poses.
ReplyDeleteLike your cat photos! From one cat lover to another. Have a great holiday.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have everything and everyone lined up for the festivities - Merry Christmas to you all!
ReplyDeleteJust looking at this post on Christmas morning! Perfect! Couldn't work out what 'MOL' meant. Miaow out loud???
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, as always, of the kits, with your usual witty comments! So glad I found your blog and that we're now friends! Hugs to you all (even - I mean ESPECIALLY - Charlie!)
Hope you're all having a great day and that the cats aren't all TOO drugged out of their skulls...
Penny
Penny: Yes MOL is Miaow out loud (well that's what I take it to be!). The cats are being sloths today, completely useless for photos. Charlie got told off for batting Mrs P around the back of the head and then went to sulk on the chair. Typical Christmas really :O)))
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm very glad we're friends too xx
Dear Barbara and adorable friends,
ReplyDeleteLove to you all and a fabulous 2012!

Ah, I'm sorrowfully late to the Christmas festivities, but didn't think you'd enjoy having Typhoid Mary show up and ruin your party. :-)
ReplyDeleteAren't you the clever one, animating your photo! Funny, the effect catnip has on cats. I love Charlie's candy cane collar decoration - such a striking departure from his usual Evil Amulet of Doom! LOL
Don't tell the others, but Pepper is my favorite member of your wonderful feline family. I've been trying to deny it, but that last photo of her on the staircase has forced me to drop all pretenses and admit it. That photo is just precious!
Laloofah: Hope you're wearing a face mask, we've had enough of colds etc here! :O) Charlie's candy cane sweetness didn't last long... and you're a brave woman to admit to a favourite!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm wearing a face mask (mostly so Charlie wouldn't recognize who it was declaring Pepper as their favorite), and mittens (since I'm communicating via typing - can't be too careful!) ;-)
