Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

It's been hot, damn hot.  How can it be October already when we've been having temperatures of 26 degrees for most of the week?  Not nice.  I want autumnal weather and I want it now!  Anyway, enough with the tantrum and on with the scavenger hunt.

Early Morning Light
Hazy...
This was early Friday morning
before the heat kicked in for the day.
Beautiful, beautiful light on the trees, although I was
losing patience waiting for the traffic to leave the
road clear.  (I needed to be quick to get
back home and ready for work!)

Coffee Pot and Flowers...
Coffee or Tea...
One from the archives, coffee
at Kelmarsh.

Hamlet...
Inspired by a book or film...
Anyone not knowing who this is meant to be
go to the bottom of the class and see me later!

Hamlet...
Another one of David in thespian mode, this time with movement.
Many thanks to him for donning woolly cap and overcoat
during a heatwave and lurking in the back garden in the dark!

Eye
Brown...
Macro of Cath's eye, which shows a remarkably
clear reflection of Heart of the Shires Shopping Village
(and me and my camera) in it!

Window shopping...
Linger...
Window shopping.

Lurking on the bandstand...
and another of two lingerers...
Cath and Helen on the steps of a bandstand.
Should probably be called 'lurkers' really.

And finally... for no other reason than these two photos made me cry with laughing when I was taking them, here are Cath and Helen jumping in the air in a car park.  This has nothing to do with the Scavenger Hunt and everything to do with me saying they would be put on the internet.  This is the kind of payment I exact from my friends in return for taking them on a shopping trip in my car ;O)

  13. LOL loved that inspired by a book but my favourite is your hazed shot. Come up across the border and you'll get autumn - we've been wet most of the week but when the sun shone oh boy was it warm!

  17. Planned scavenging? :-)
You DO find the most incredible things, not to mention people, but my favourite must be the "self-portrait"...

    And the take-off on what's-his-name ...

  20. Cath and Helen look like they're a blast to be with! Awesome pics.

Listen, do me a favour and come and see Soup the turtle on my blog? And say something about how nice it would be if he could be in the Zoo; I'm having red tape problems with the bureaucracy here and need some "voice" to help make sure Soup gets to be safe.

  22. *sigh* that 'hazy' is astounding...sooo pretty! Worth being late to work for, I'll bet ;)

The rest of your set is equally fabulous...and what a great sport David is, to don a trenchcoat and 'lurk'!

And...hahahaha!!! Your shopping payment photos are HILARIOUS! I like your style :D

  23. Love the whole set of photos. David should be an actor; he's an excellent lurker. Most of all I love the shots of Cath and Helen leaping into the air. Thank you for the good laugh on what has been a dreary day here.

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
