I mentioned a while back how the bench we have in our garden became an object of great interest and desire for the cats as soon as we moved it to a new position. This is still the case. It has become a place to rest, contemplate, plan strategies, and launch unprovoked attacks on other passing cats and humans. Here is photographic evidence: in the first, Charlie surveys his kingdom and keeps an eye out for Little Creep (the cat who lives up the road and comes in to steal food), and in the second, Pepper goes into 'covert operations cat' mode by trying to disguise herself as a Japanese Maple.
For more participants visit Gattina's Cats on Tuesday.
Oh Pepper, I see you even though you don't think anyone can. Charlie is really sharp-eyed. My Cookie likes to relax in the sun in one of the rocking chairs on our front porch. Today he's not there though - the wind is making it rock and that makes Cookie nervous.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures! (or should I say.."cat-tures"...hahahha, oh, I kill myself ;D). Bad joke aside...love the photos, especially of Pepper who could pass for the twin of my cat in Canada (who chose to stay living with my parents, way back when ;D)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures! Love, love Charlie! I lost one a few years ago to cancer. He looked a lot like Charlie. Pepper you are gorgeous and so are those red leaves behind you.
ReplyDeleteCharlie's very alert and Pepper is just beautiful whatever the camouflage.
ReplyDeleteLOLing loudly here! Haha...LOVE that capture of your espionage kitty with the maple.
ReplyDeleteKathy
Oh, Charlie and Pepper, you are both gorgeous! Great photos of them! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Charlie, you won't miss a thing with those sharp and alert eyes of yours.
ReplyDeleteI see you Pepper, you need to burrow under(or borrow) the leaves of the maple tree.
Pepper has the ideal fur for camouflage !
ReplyDeleteAnd Charlie as watchcat on the bench looks very handsome !
Bonjour sweet Pepper!Love the angle in your picture, you are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather is nice there this week so you can enjoy the bench and the garden. Here it's awful, time for looooong naps!

Luna - WE LOVE LUNA
Charlie me too like´s to sit at the top on things and then go to ATTACK :)
ReplyDeletePepper I think your disguise is berry good !!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteboth cats are very proud and cute looking. Wonderful photos.
best greetings, Johanna
Barbara, you have some beautiful cats and photos. I must join in on cats on Tuesday. Thank you for reading my post about my brother and his cats. If you think that's funny, read the post below it from August 29th. I'm going to follow you.
ReplyDeleteMOL at the japanese maple disguise. Very clever kitty!
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
Such lovely pictures. That Japanese Maple disguise is very clever, Pepper!
ReplyDeleteOh there's nothing like the hide and pounce ninja cat - with maple leaf!
ReplyDeleteI love their very different surveillance styles. Charlie appears to want to both see and be seen, perhaps hoping to frighten off the thieving bastard just as he creeps into sight by striking his alert and intimidating "I'm in charge here!" pose, while Pepper goes for complete stealth. Pepper, you crack me up! And you look beautiful in Maple Leaf camo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLaloofah - LOL!!! Charlie has since brought shame on himself by allowing Little Creep into the kitchen and sitting there watching him nom the dish of food that was there!
ReplyDeleteNo way!! It must be a set-up! Little Creep better watch his backside!
