Cats on Tuesday

First of all some non-cat news.  We've put our house up for sale! Please keep your fingers etc crossed that someone wants to buy it quickly as we've already seen a house we'd like to buy.

And in the world of rabbits... Ben had another dental yesterday.  He only has three teeth and one of his molars grows like a spike hence the problems he has.  The anaesthetic really knocked him about this time and he was wobbling all over the place last night.  That at least has now stopped but he's still very tired and not eating yet so I'm syringe feeding him some mud-like liquid food at the moment.  Again - fingers and paws being crossed for him would be appreciated.

The only cat-worthy news is that Charlie lost another collar.  A nice man a few streets away phoned us to say he'd found it in his garden along with quite a lot of fur where two cats had had been belting the hell out of each other.  Charlie now has a scratch on his nose which I'd usually clone out of his photos but have left as evidence of his devilishness.

Poor old Ben feeling very sorry for himself...

  1. Bonjour sweet Barbara and dear friends there!
First of all we are all crossing our "fingers and paws"for the little friend Ben. We wish him a faster recover.

  2. Poor Ben! I hope everything works out for the wee chap! Everything crossable is crossed...

We've given up putting collars on our lot. It was costing a fortune. We actually watched Molly one day, deftly flicking hers off, before heading for some illicit adventures!

Charlie stills looks cute, even with his battle scars. Tom once had a big scratch on the tip of his ear. When it healed, the ear contracted a bit and so now he has one ear that folds back a bit. He likes me to rub it...

    I'll email soon...

  4. You guys are just the cutest! Ben I hope you feel better soon. My daughter has four bunnies and one has ongoing teeth problems along with some other health problems. He is going to the veterinarian today to have some teeth pulled if he is strong enough. If not, there will be some filing done.

Charlie stay out of fights. I have a special place in my heart for black and white cats. I lost mine three years ago to cancer.

  5. That Charlie is so devilish! He looks like he's thinking how bad he beat up that other cat. Very smug. Poor Ben. Since I've been having a crown replaced, I can empathize. Get the new one tomorrow. By the way, Scaredy Cat came to within 2 inches of my hand this morning when I put out her food. She's also gotten curious about the inside of the house. Soon I think we'll actually be on a touching basis.

Arthur is also a specialist in loosing collars, when he gets upset with a neighbor's cat !

  12. Poor little Ben; thinking of him. I'll get the lads to cross their paws for him (might be tricky!).

I love that last pic of Charlie! It really is lovely.

  13. A quick update - Ben started eating last night! Thanks for all the kind words, good wishes and crossed paws.
Boo-Bah: hope the bunny is ok.
Barbara: Good luck at the dentist. Great news about Scaredy Cat too. I'm sure once she gets her feet under the table you won't be able to prise her back out!

  16. Hi, Barbara!

I'm so glad to read your comment about Ben having resumed eating, but was going to be happy to do all the crossing of everything I could if necessary! I have to go to the dentist myself on Wednesday. It's just a checkup and cleaning but I so loathe denists that I nearly have to be anesthetized just to get up the nerve to go to one. ;-)

I'm crossing all crossable items on behalf of your house sale endeavors, too! We are sure leading parallel lives in that regard, and I really hope you sell yours quickly and painlessly and can snap up the one you've got your eye on! It's frustrating to have to sit and wait. We've had our place on the market nearly 4 weeks now, and have had to watch a couple of homes that might have worked well for us sell before we ever got a chance to go look at them, since we want to wait till we have a contract on this place first. There's also a spec house under construction that we've been interested in, and were so hoping we'd be able to get in on it before the contractor chose everything for it. But alas, time and the contractor have marched on without us and though he picked a nice siding color, the cabinets, tile floors and wall colors are NOT what we'd have chosen, and we're becoming less enamored of it by the day. There's just so little to choose from around here, most of it is overpriced crap in bad locations! But we press on, keeping this place show-ready and hoping for the best. At least we can commiserate together (or I wish we could, as this sort of commiserating is best done at the local pub!)

I hope Charlie's nose scratch healed fine and that he doesn't get into any more collar-losing tussles! What a juvenile delinquent your kid is. Must take after his father. ;-)

I sure have missed your blog! Catching up will be catch-as-catch-can for me for a while, but I will pop in whenever possible to check for further real estate developments, and of course to stay abreast of all your people and critter news and wonderful photos!

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
