Scavenger Hunt Sunday... and Breaking News!

Vanishing Point...
Well not quite, but it's the closest thing
I could get to it this week.
It's actually the windows of our shed with frost
on them and a sunburst.

Square Crop...
David and Posky
I'm also linking this one up with
Exploring with a Camera's
Square Format challenge.

Under...
The view from underneath the wing
of a Canberra jet at Coventry Airport

Welcome to the Jungle...
I really struggled with this one so
had to resort to a worm's eye view of the
crocus in the park made to look like a postcard
for a bit of interest!

Calm...
And because you can
never have too many photos
of cats in a scavenger hunt - here's
another.  This is Charlie in a moment of
calm - if he was awake he wouldn't be calm,
he'd be angry about something.

AND BREAKING NEWS...
I've just been contacted by The Shakespeare Hospice who have asked if they can use one of my images on a Christmas Card this year.  It's the one below.  To say I am chuffed to bits is a vast understatement.  I said yes  :O)))

  1. I admire the simplicity of your photos - and especially that first one. It gets my vote :-)

  2. Posky is adorable! (And I'm sure David is, too, though I wouldn't dream of commenting on a friend's husband! :) )

I LOVE what you've done with your crocus picture! So artistic! And purple! I wish I had your skills...

  3. Thanks both :O) Penny - yes Posky is adorable, and knows it. David is... David :O))) As for the crocus picture, the 'texture' was a freebie on a cd with the March edition of Digital Photo magazine and was very, very easy to do. By the way, don't know if you're interested but Practical Photography mag is running a DSLR course from the April issue onwards, you can sign up online (it's free) for extra content www.photoanswers.co.uk/bootcamp . I took out their special subscription deal, £10 for the next six issues, which covers the course.

  7. Awww- Love the sleepy kitty. I thought of that- but every time the camera comes out they are trying to stick their noses in the lens. :) Great job

  8. Ooooo, squeak! Thanks, Barbara! I've signed up for the on-line course, but the link for the sub didn't work. I'll phone them tomorrow, but I may be too late... We'll see...

  9. Chic Homeschool Mama - My cats are pretty used to the camera by now - although Mrs Pod has a tendency to come marching towards me if I squat on the ground to get a shot of her.

Penny - Hope you get the subscription sorted!

  25. Oh, I love that photo of David and Posky! That is so sweet! And the one of a calm, slumbering Charlie, what a capture. I wonder if he's all stroppy in his dreams, or if his kinder, gentler nature expresses itself then. :-)

The airport photo is cool, and the blooming croci are beautiful! It will be a while yet before our wild prairie crocus is in bloom here.

Congratulations on the Shakespeare Hospice choosing that beautiful photo of yours for their Christmas card! That is so exciting!! It's a fantastic photograph, and easy to see why they want to use it. Your chuffiness is certainly well-founded and I'm totally chuffed for you! :-) Now, how do I get on your Christmas card mailing list? ;-)

I get many more views on my posts than comments, so please if you drop by, stop and say hello. Otherwise I'll start getting paranoid and neurotic, and worry that nobody likes me... sniff sniff...
